The TV Ears Wireless Speaker Only uses the same transmitter that is shipped with the 2.3 Wireless Headset System and The Wireless Speaker System. There is no need to have an additional transmitter as both of these products receive the infra-red signal from the one transmitter. You can even have both the speaker and headset in use at the same time.
