TV Ears Debuts Its First Senior-Friendly HDTV
TV Ears is offering its first ever Senior-Friendly LCD high-definition TV, a 32-inch set that includes a built-in wireless transmitter and headset for better listening, a user-friendly, color-coded remote control device, and an automatic shut-off feature that engages after 4 hours of inactivity.
“We’re really excited about the launch of this new TV especially since it received such great feedback from consumers, media, and retailers at the International Consumer Electronics Show last January,” said George Dennis, founder and CEO of TV Ears. “This state-of-the-art system is designed for seniors who have neither the experience nor desire to fumble with all the buttons and settings required to watch a mainstream high-definition television.”
Customers have the option to purchase the TV with the company’s white glove specialty service that includes delivery with complete hook-up, programming, and one-on-one instruction service of the television and associated headset by a technician. Customers can call a toll-free telephone number for assistance after their purchase.
“With the addition of this system to our product line, we’re able to bring back the family TV viewing experience for everyone in the home, which is our ultimate goal!” said Dennis.

TV Ears moves headquarters to accommodate employees, new departments
SAN DIEGO – February 19, 2010 – TV Ears, a manufacturer of doctor-recommended TV listening solutions, announced today its relocation to a new headquarters in order to keep up with growth on many fronts.
The company’s move was triggered as a result of its recent product development expansion, the creation of a new IT department and a clear need to accommodate more employees.
“TV Ears has already helped more than 1 million people hear the TV more clearly and we’re going to raise that number by expanding our operations,” said George Dennis, Founder and CEO of TV Ears. “We outgrew the old location and the new space will not only accommodate our people, but our increasing technical needs as well.”
The new 15,000-square foot office space is nearly double the size of the previous location. In addition, the building enables the company to operate more efficiently by bringing three local warehouses together under one roof.
“While we process orders from a number of facilities, the majority of our direct shipments come out of San Diego. The ability to combine our three local warehouses played a part in selecting this location,” said Dennis. “It’s a really exciting move and is a strong indicator of the type of success to come.”
